Sally’s lottery win gives her home renovations a boost!

St Catherine’s supporter Sally Maddock won £2,000 on the hospice’s lottery in September.

Sally, from Leyland, joined our lottery many years ago and whilst on the train to London to celebrate her 50th birthday, told us all about her big win.

“I do whatever I can to support St Catherine’s including us all buying lottery tickets every month, as well as donating whenever we can. You looked after Owen’s Mum, Cynthia Maddock, wonderfully in early 2009. You cared for my friend Karen Fitzgerald throughout 2016, first as an outpatient and then you cared for her amazingly as an inpatient.

“The care and love they both received from St Catherine’s (as well as the compassion displayed towards their family and friends) was wonderful, so I’ll do anything I can to help other people benefit from the same brilliant care.

“We’ll be using our £2,000 lottery win towards house renovations and a donation; we’re doing up the bathroom and in the midst of an extension! So, it’s a practical way of spending the money, but very much welcome.

“I’d encourage anyone to subscribe to St Catherine’s lottery as a way to give back to the charity. You never know – you just might win!”
