St Catherine's Hospice > Uncategorized > Find out more about lending a hand for your local charity

Picture by Chris Bull for St Catherine's Hospice 31/3/16Here at St Catherine’s we have more than 700 dedicated and hard-working volunteers who offer valuable support to staff in a wide variety of ways.

From working on reception or in our shops, to serving customers at The Mill café or helping with day-today duties in the inpatient unit, there is a vast array of jobs available for anyone keen to lend a hand.

Our wonderful volunteers bring their own skills, experience, insight and personalities, which help shape the future of the charity and make St Catherine’s, The Mill and our shops welcoming and reassuring places for members of the community to visit.

Volunteers tell us that the role brings its own benefits to them personally, such as a sense of satisfaction and pride, and the opportunity to develop new skills, interests and friendships.
